Moon Chasers

Premiered in Lima, Peru in 2014, Moon Chasers tells the story of two people in love who are separated over a long distance and connected only by the moon.    This solo’s soaring themes and introspective sensitivity create a wonderful recital work for advanced marimbists.

Moon Chasers is dedicated to my wife Ewelina.   The work is for a 5-Octave marimba and lasts about 6 minutes.   Recommended mallets are Innovative Percussion’s Mark Ford IP813 mallets with one IP812 in the #1 position.

Below is a video of slides compiled by Ewelina that tell the story of Moon Chasers.   Sometimes I perform the work with this video playing in the background.
